Pumpkins, Costumes, Candy

I enjoy Halloween. It was has always been one of my favorite holidays. The dressing up and scary movies are fun. The free candy is a bonus. But I've always liked that for a couple hours this one evening in the whole year, better than any National Night Out, the neighborhood comes alive and one feels welcome at a neighbor and other strangers' front porch. As a kid I always took a peek into other peoples' homes and I loved to see who would open the door. Sometimes it was a mom, sometimes a grandfather and kids. Front porches and foyers are so unique and depending on the decor quite welcoming.
My mom planted pumpkins this year, so I haven't had to buy one, but I used her squash last year to create our Halloween ambiance.

And from a party last weekend. Me and Johnson. I think he's Batman. I liked the Venetian mask, so recycled old costumes, dresses to accessorize the look.

Gosh I want to go back to Thailand too! I decided if the plane tickets go down to 1200 or lower in December or November, I'm just going to swallow the bill and go for a month.
